Carlson Leisure Group Expands VacationPORT Agreement

BEAVERTON, OR - (Sept. 15, 2003)
Passport Online today announced that Carlson Leisure Group (CLG) has renewed its VacationPORT contract to continue providing valuable online content and special offers for the Carlson travel agencies as well as expand the operation to more retail locations and enhance the Carlson redemption program for its clients.

Passport Online provides content and special product offers for both CLG's franchise units—including Carlson Wagonlit Travel Associates and Cruise Holidays—and its Carlson Leisure Travel Services division. Under the terms of the new contract, CLG plans to expand the electronic marketing program to even more Carlson Wagonlit Travel Associates and Cruise Holidays units via their respective CarlsonTravel.com and CruiseHolidays.com Web sites.

The contract also calls for enhancing the VacationPORT shopping tool that Carlson Leisure Travel Services incorporated into its redemption program capabilities designed specifically for its clients, including leading credit card companies and financial institutions.

"We are striving to provide our franchisees' customers with quality experiences in online shopping for cruise and vacation product while giving our Carlson Wagonlit Travel and Cruise Holiday agencies a consistent, valuable electronic marketing package," said Roger Block Executive Vice President, Carlson Travel Franchise Group. To date, thousands of new leads have been generated from CLG's franchise sites using VacationPORT. These leads have gone to Carlson Wagonlit Travel and Cruise Holidays agencies nationwide. Additionally, over 600 exclusive Carlson-specific offers have been loaded into VacationPORT that are available only to its travel agency locations.

Presently, over 160 Carlson Wagonlit Travel Associates and Cruise Holiday agencies have VacationPORT on their individual consumer Web sites. According to Carlson Leisure Group, they have enthusiastically embraced the email marketing tools and are successfully sending product offers out to their respective customer bases.

In addition, Carlson Leisure Travel Services—which has become one of today's top service providers for credit card companies, financial institutions and others in travel fulfillment loyalty programs—not only uses VacationPORT content on its own TripForce Web site, but will now also enabling its roster of clients to include this content on their own specific travel redemption sites.
