Beaverton, OR and Tallahassee, FL - (August 18, 2006) — Passport Online has signed an agreement with Travmarket to dramatically improve
destination content and marketing tools in Passport Online's VacationPort and NexCite
Website programs. The companies will collaborate on a number of initiatives that
will help thousands of travel agents increase sales generated from their agency
websites and e-marketing campaigns.
Passport Online is incorporating Travmarket destination content into the offer view
of travel specials in VacationPort and NexCite, to make the consumer shopping experience
on the agency website even more compelling. Travmarket will be continually adding
destination content over time, focusing on the most popular destinations being searched
by the over 1 million consumers using VacationPort and NexCite each month.
Additionally, Travmarket will be providing Voyager Guides travel articles, which will be
integrated into the VacationPort and NexCite email marketing tools, enabling travel agents
to create dynamic email campaigns containing interesting travel information and relevant
offers for their clients.
"The travel agency website is becoming an increasingly important element in travel agency
marketing programs, and we continue to enhance the online consumer shopping experience,
helping agents leverage their own expertise, build customer loyalty, and create website
stickiness", stated Greg Kott, Passport Online President and CEO.
Mr. Kott also stated, "We're excited about our relationship with Travmarket to help us
achieve these goals. I'm particularly enthusiastic about the Voyager Guides program.
Rather than getting the usual emails with the "Top 10" offers, agency clients can now
look forward to receiving interesting, topical destination-related information. For
instance, if an agent has clients that like to go to New York during the winter holidays,
the agent can quickly create a beautiful HTML email containing a just-written article
about where to shop, where to eat, what's fun to do then in New York - also containing a
call-to-action to book an interesting New York vacation. We'll make it even easier for
an agent to send these branded emails to their clients, by sending ready-made campaigns
to our agents using our unique customize-and-forward re-branding technology."
Travmarket president Richard Earls was equally enthusiastic about the partnership. "Passport
Online has continually demonstrated its importance to the travel industry community by
providing efficient and effective content distribution. The blending of our content with
Passport's supplier offerings and wide-flung distribution network makes for a truly
unbeatable product offering for the travel agency community"
