Las
Vegas, NV - (September 12, 2005) — At the Network
of Entrepreneurs Selling Travel (NEST) "Flying High" member
conference in Las Vegas today, the organization showed home-based
agencies just how easy e-marketing can be. NEST launched
VacationPort, an online tool that gives the organization's agencies
the power to leverage the Internet to sell more travel, more
profitably, in just a few easy steps. And, the program is free for
all NEST agencies.
"To stay competitive in our e-world, with
its instant messaging and equally instant e-purchasing models, every
travel agency needs to incorporate e-marketing as a core component
of their overall marketing strategy. An agency's online
communications with clients have to be as strong as their offline
campaigns," said Stuart Cohen, Senior Vice President for NEST.
VacationPort, which is powered by Passport Online, Inc., allows
home-based agencies to cost-effectively create and send e-promos to
new clients, and use e-promos to stay in close touch with the
clients they already have. Cohen noted that the online tool is an
extension of the NESTDirect direct mail program. NESTDirect provides
NEST agencies with the ability to send out professionally developed
brochures without incurring expensive design costs and minimal or no
distribution costs. By integrating NESTDirect with VacationPort,
agencies can now send robust e-brochures to their entire client list
online in just about one minute.
Here is how VacationPort
works... The agency goes to the Agent Extranet, selects the
promotion(s), and sends them to their own e-mail address. They can
include a single promotion or multiple promotions in one e-mail.
They can use any one of a palette of customizable templates. Custom
banners and color schemes can also be created.
Next, the
agency selects which clients from their database will receive the
promotion(s). With the click of a button, they forward the e-promos
to their clients using their e-mail system.
Links in the e-promo then direct the recipients to a landing site branded for the agency. There, the agency's clients can see additional details, shop for other promotions, and choose to call or e-mail their personal NEST travel agent. The system also provides comprehensive reporting, including easy access to offers viewed, trip requests made and other such details. Another appealing feature is that the ClientBase Plus interface allows the agency to import e-mails into their ClientBase Plus database."VacationPort is a turnkey solution. And it's a free resource for all NEST agencies," added Cohen. "This is another tool that we're offering to help our agencies build awareness for their brand, stay in close contact with customers, and utilize the Internet as a communications and sales vehicle."
